WOW!
RC Car Action Magazine for the month of October 2006, George Gonzales (Senior Editor) has zeroed in on our Vortex Chassis with his Mini Zone build project feature.
Let me quote his article; "Says George, The 8000kV motor had so much power that I had to roll on the throttle to avoid looping out at the start. Once the truck was rolling, I used just about all the power the motor could muster. Its speed down the straightaway was amazing, and the Vortex Mini-T handled the speed very well.
On-power steering was excellent; I clipped the pipes on the inside of turns 1 and 3 several times before I found the line and slid into the corners a little wider. The rear end felt a little loose when exiting the corners and getting back onto the straightaway, but I was still able to get around the track fairly easily unless I was over-zealous with my throttle trigger. Chassis roll in the corners was almost nonexistent, and this surprised me because I hadn't tweaked the suspension for oval racing and I had only begun to dial the car in with a few radio adjustments.
The Vortex Mini-T handled the track very well, but it will do even better with a little suspension tuning and more wheel time. I'm sure that the Vortex chassis-equipped Mini-T is in a class of it's own and will run circles around stock 1/18th-scale trucks. GEORGE, YOU ARE THE MAN!

We are going with a CNC company you may have heard of, Rock Concepts to do the machining of the Vortex Chassis for us. They have an excellent rep. and they also have been featured on the cover of RC-Car Magazine November 2004. Rock Concepts is a CNC company that in my option, manufactures the very best aluminum parts money can buy. We will continue to design and develop new chassis and improvements to our existing chassis and leave the hard work for those talented guys at Rock Concepts. John and his associates at Rock Concepts have the racing and manufacturing history we look for.
